PETITION: Women In Submarines

UPDATE OF PETITION: On 29 April 2010 the Navy lifted the ban that had prevented women from serving aboard submarines. Many people are against the change in policy. By making an entry on the petition, you will be letting members of Congress know that you are OPPOSED to the change in policy.

For Active Duty personnel: "Those signing the below petition are signing in their individual capacities as private citizens as is authorized under DOD Directive 1344.10 and are not acting or signing as representatives of the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, or the Coast Guard.  Any mention of military rank is used to help identify the person's military experience and background." -- Keep in mind that I am not releasing any personally identifying information. Any comments made should be 'clean'.. that is, no reference to a specific boat or person or disparaging to the navy or leadership. Just the issues. Anyone may email me one-on-one and I would be more than happy to ensure a comment is entered that in no way jeopardizes the individual. john@14olcott.net
